About the University
The University of Defense was established by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, on 24 February 2011.
The University of Defense is an independent higher education institution in charge of higher military education through first, second and third degree studies in several scientific fields within educational and scientific fields and special training programs in accordance with the work permit, founding act, Law on Higher Education and Law on military education.

In addition to providing higher education, the University of Defense also performs scientific research work through basic, applied and developmental research that is in the function of improving, upgrading and modernizing education in the defense system.
