RECTOR

The University Rector represents the University, in accordance with the Law and Statute of the University of Defence. The Rector, as the highest authority of the University stays on top of all its activities. The Rector is nominated from the pool of full-time professors affiliated with the units of higher education constituting the University. The Rector is appointed by the President of the Republic, based on the proposal by the Minister of Defense, in accordance with the Law on the Armed Forces of Serbia. The Rector remains in office for three years, with a possibility of being re-appointed. The Rector is independent in performing work falling within his/her remit and answers to the University Board and the Minister of Defense for his/her work and the work of the Rector’s Office.
