3rd module of Regional Strategic Leadership Course opened
The third module of the Regional Strategic Leadership Course (RSLC), organized by the Defence University, was opened in Belgrade today. The course aims to strengthen cooperation between Western Balkan countries and Austria.
Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić welcomed the course participants and expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of the project.
- We have put into action the idea generated in Graz a year ago. This type of platform is necessary not only for the education and training of our leaders, but also for facilitating the communication between them and improving their decision-making skills – said Assistant Minister Bandić.
According to the Rector of the Defence University, Lieutenant General Goran Radovanović, PhD, contemporary strategic leaders face numerous issues and they must work together to address those issues.
- Terrorism, migrations, natural and technological disasters, potential energy insecurity, it is very difficult to predict their complexity and consequences, so we have to prepare for producing an adequate response – said General Radovanović.
Among the participants are Assistant Minister of Defence for Human Resources Katarina Tomašević and Head of the International Military Cooperation Department, Colonel Nebojša Svjetlica.
The course lasts until Thursday, November 3, and the participants will visit the National Assembly building later today.
The third module of the Regional Strategic Leadership Course was scheduled as part of the 2022 International Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Defence and it is the result of the conclusions of a meeting in the so-called “Graz Format” between defence ministers of Austria and Western Balkan countries”.
