The Senate of the University of Belgrade held a session at the Military Academy

Today, the Military Academy of the University of Defence in Belgrade hosted the members of the Senate of the University of Belgrade, which held their Sixteenth Session of the Seventh Convocation. The Senate session was chaired by the rector of the University of Belgrade, Professor Vladan Đokić, PhD. On the behalf of the University of Defense in Belgrade, the distinguished guests were greeted by the Acting Rector of the University of Defence in Belgrade, Colonel Professor Boban Đorović, PhD in Engineering and the Commandant of the Military Academy, Colonel Associate Professor Srđan Blagojević, Ph.D, and the Vice-Dean for Scientific Research of the Military Academy, Colonel Associate Professor Dragan Trifković, PhD. Colonel Đorović pointed out that the University of Defence in Belgrade is the part of the academic community of the Republic of Serbia and that our two universities have a long-standing successful cooperation, whereby the Military Academy cooperates with a large number of faculties of the University of Belgrade in the field of higher education, scientific work, the organisation of scientific meetings and the realisation of special forms of teaching.



After the session, the part of the educational capacities of the Military Academy was presented to the distinguished rector, vice-rectors, faculty deans and heads of the institutes of our largest university. In the Special Purpose Classroom of Army Weapons and Equipment, Colonel Assistant professor Aleksandar Milić, PhD presented modern infantry weapons and equipment of domestic and foreign production, new teaching methods and modern software for studying the construction of weapons. Colonel Assistant Slobodan Đukić, PhD, a Professor of Military History, introduced the guests with the rich display of the memorial room, which chronologically depicts the development of military education from the formation of the Artillery School in 1850 to the present day.



The commandant of the Military Academy and his colleagues organised a working lunch in the restaurant of the Military Academy, where he discussed with the Rector Professor Đokić and his colleagues about the modalities of expanding the cooperation between the Military Academy and the Faculties of the University of Belgrade.
