Military Academy and MMA Medical Faculty cadets display their skills
Cadets of the Military Academy and the Military Medical Academy’s Medical Faculty displayed their skills at the Military Academy today, to mark March 18, the Military Academy Day.
The event was attended by the Rector of the Defence University, Briagadier General Prof. Boban Đorović, PhD, the Commandant of the Military Academy, Colonel Srđan Blagojević, PhD, students of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies, and members of the Defence University Rector’s and Military Academy Commandant’s collegiums.
The cadets’ performance consisted of five parts. They presented practical skills they had acquired during their training, including tactical skills, handling a firearm, shooting and physical fitness.
The first part was the morning workout with weapons, followed by an artillery section’s presentation of taking a firing position. During the third part, engineer cadets showed how a passage leading through a minefield is made. The main part was performed by the cadets of the 144th Infantry Class, showing the blockade and attack on a building using the Lazar 3 armoured combat vehicle. The spectators had the opportunity to see the use of Airsoft guns during a mock close combat inside a building.
Besides Military Academy cadets, the final segment involved students of the Military High School and Vocational Military School who demonstrated their martial arts skills.
The event was commanded by the head of the Military Academy’s Tactics Department, Colonel Zoran Đurić.
