Annual Analysis of the Work Plan of the Strategic Research Institute and the Military Archives
The analysis of the Work Plan for 2022 was held at the Strategic Research Institute today,and it was attended by the Vice Rector for Quality and Development of the University of Defence, Colonel Prof. Boban Đorović, PhD, Vice Rector for Scientific Research of the University of Defence, Colonel Ivan Vulić, PhD, the Head of the School of National Defence, Colonel Mićo Suvajac, the Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy, Prof. Dr. Sonja Marjanović, the Head of the Secretariat of the Rector's Office of the University of Defence, Colonel Marko Zelenović, representatives of the Military Academy and other organisational units of the University of Defence.
Today's activity was opened by the director of the Institute, Associate Prof. Jovanka Šaranović, PhD, pointing out the specific circumstances and conditions in which the Institute carried out its tasks in the previous year. She assessed that the Institute successfully completed planned and unplanned tasks, thus confirming itself as a competent scientific research institution within the defence system, but also within the academic community of the Republic of Serbia. The scientific competence of the Institute was also confirmed by the re-accreditation for performing scientific research activities obtained last year from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Like every year, director Šaranović used the opportunity to thank the Military Academy and the School of National Defence for the successful cooperation.
After the opening address by the director, the heads of the organisational units of the Institute, as well as the director of the Military Archives, presented in more detail the results achieved in the previous year, referring to the difficulties that accompanied the completion of the given tasks. The focus of their analysis was on the main tasks of the Institute, such as the creation of information for the needs of the defence policy, the implementation of scientific research projects, the publication of scientific papers and monographs, the participation of the members of the Institute in domestic and foreign international conferences, as well as the running of the magazines Vojno delo and Military Historical Review.
In conclusion, the Vice Rector for Quality and Development of the University of Defence, Colonel Prof. Boban Đorović, PhD, noted that the Institute had carried out numerous tasks in the previous year and thus made an important contribution to building the overall capabilities of the defence system. He emphasised his full readiness to support the efforts of the Institute in its intention to improve organisational, personnel and material working conditions.
